Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our
clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care
by:Operate a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by
physicians in the diagnosis and treatments of pathologies.Possess
thorough knowledge and understanding of the principles and physics
of magnetic resonance imaging.Select appropriate imaging techniques
and protocols to complete the exam.Receive patients, explain method
of examination, and position patient, perform IV puncture, and
administer IV contrast agent when indicated.Independently perform
and complete routine examinations.Meet the needs of the patient,
family and multi-disciplinary team through effective communication,
coordination and documentation ensuring safety, care, courtesy and
efficiency.MRI Tech Minimum QualificationsAssociate Degree or
equivalent from two-year College or Technical School,
requiredCurrent ARRT (R) registry, requiredCurrent BLS
certification endorsed by the American Heart Association,
requiredMRI Tech Preferred QualificationsAt least one (1) year of
experience as a MRI Technologist, preferredMRI Tech II Minimum
QualificationsAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists
(ARRT)(MR) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Technologists (ARMRIT)Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for
healthcare providersIV CertificationProficiency in 3 of the
following areas: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
(ARRT)(MR) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Technologists (ARMRIT), intra-operative, cardiac, functional,
breast, prostate, rectal cancer staging, advanced 3D spectroscopy,
MR lymphangiography, or pediatric MRI (less than 15 years of age)
as 80% of patient workload.Must complete at least five cases per
specialty procedure with documented skills pass off by a lead MRI
technologist or coordinator.MRI Tech II Preferred
QualificationsThree years of experience in Magnetic Resonance
ImagingBachelors degree from an accredited institutionSpecialty
Technologist in Training Minimum Qualifications ($30.94 -
$47.77/hour)Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare
providers, requiredApplicable State License, requiredCurrently
attending and receiving formal training from an accredited training
program or successful completion of formal training from an
approved/accredited school or a licensed American Registry of
Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) technologist who has been
selected to cross-train in another modality, requiredSpecialty
Technologist in Training Preferred Qualifications1-2 years customer
service or patient care experienceIV CertificationPhysical
Requirements:Ongoing need for employee to see and read information,
labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment
and supplies.- and -Frequent interactions with patient care
providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally
communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information,
alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly
during emergency situations.- and -Manual dexterity of hands and
fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision
and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for
documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication
preparation, etc.- and -Expected to lift and utilize full range of
movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift,
and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of
varying weights, up to and including heavy items.- and -Need to
walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining
and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes
pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy
items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of
equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).- and -May be expected to
stand in a stationary position for an extended period of
