Description:Night Nurse: (1) Full-Time 6p - 6a 2 days/week plus every SaturdayAL Campus Support Nurse (1) Full-Time 6p - 6a 2 days/week plus every SaturdayPer Diem in Transitional CareOffering Differentials! Evening Diff: 5pm - 11pm $2.00 per hour Night Diff: 11pm - 6am $3.00 per hour Weekend Diff: 2pm Friday through Sunday at 11:59pm $1.50 per hourRelief/Per Diem Positions Available!SUMMARY: Works under the general supervision of the Unit Manager and the Director of Resident Care Services, to provide quality professional, nursing care to nursing facility residents and supervises assigned nursing staff.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Nursing:Oversee the care of all residents in assigned areasAssess residents and administer nursing treatmentsWork closely with physicians to determine appropriate careResponds to and leads emergency situationsComplete medical records on residentsPerforms record keeping according to policies developed by St. John's United in accordance with state and federal regulationsParticipate in Care Plan and other family meetingsCoordination of appropriateness of Admissions, Discharges, and/or TransfersProvides assistance to Physicians, other Health Care Providers and visitorsHas daily contact with residents, staff members, resident family members and volunteers in completing their assigned job functionsSupervision:Supervise LPN's and C.N.A.'s in assigned areasCoach, educate, evaluate and discipline assigned employeesProvides constructive feedback to nursing administration for LPN's and C.N.A.'s through performance evaluationsAssist LPN's and C.N.A's when necessarySafety:Obeys safety rules of St. John's UnitedIdentifies, reports, and/or corrects obvious safety hazardsAttends mandatory safety in-servicesMission/Customer Service:Supports the growth and actively engages in the Eden Alternative philosophy, including a work environment with plants and animals.Follows the St. John's Guidelines for Customer Service*Let the Mission be your guide*Make eye contact and smile*Greet & welcome each and every person*Seek out personal contact*Provide immediate service-listen & act*Use appropriate body language at all times*Be gracious to each & every personEmployee Responsibilities:Follows policy and procedures on annual TB testing.Follows policy and procedures on annual influenza vaccinations.Attends all mandatory in-servicesRequirements:REQUIREMENTS:Minimum Requirements: Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Montana. Previous work experience in a health care setting preferred.Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:Ability to understand verbal instructions.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Requires heavy physical work more than 70% of the time, including lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, walking, and bending for prolonged periods of time.WORKING CONDITIONS:Work involves some exposure to hazards, bloodborne pathogens, or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.Normal health care environment.Work involves exposure to plants and animals within the environment.The examples of essential job functions identify the major duties and requirements for the performance of this job and do not identify all duties, responsibilities and requirements performed by positions in this class.
