Available!SUMMARY: Works under the general supervision of the Unit
Manager and the Director of Resident Care Services, to provide
quality professional, nursing care to nursing facility residents
and supervises assigned nursing staff.ESSENTIAL JOB
FUNCTIONS:Nursing:Oversee the care of all residents in assigned
areasAssess residents and administer nursing treatmentsWork closely
with physicians to determine appropriate careResponds to and leads
emergency situationsComplete medical records on residentsPerforms
record keeping according to policies developed by St. John's United
in accordance with state and federal regulationsParticipate in Care
Plan and other family meetingsCoordination of appropriateness of
Admissions, Discharges, and/or TransfersProvides assistance to
Physicians, other Health Care Providers and visitorsHas daily
contact with residents, staff members, resident family members and
volunteers in completing their assigned job
functionsSupervision:Supervise LPN's and C.N.A.'s in assigned
areasCoach, educate, evaluate and discipline assigned
employeesProvides constructive feedback to nursing administration
for LPN's and C.N.A.'s through performance evaluationsAssist LPN's
and C.N.A's when necessarySafety:Obeys safety rules of St. John's
UnitedIdentifies, reports, and/or corrects obvious safety
hazardsAttends mandatory safety in-servicesMission/Customer
Service:Supports the growth and actively engages in the Eden

Responsibilities:Follows policy and procedures on annual TB
testing.Follows policy and procedures on annual influenza
vaccinations.Attends all mandatory
in-servicesRequirements:REQUIREMENTS:Minimum Requirements: Must be
licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Montana. Previous
work experience in a health care setting preferred.Knowledge,
skills, and abilities required:Ability to understand verbal
instructions.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Requires heavy physical work more
than 70% of the time, including lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing,
pulling, carrying, walking, and bending for prolonged periods of
time.WORKING CONDITIONS:Work involves some exposure to hazards,
bloodborne pathogens, or physical risks, which require following
basic safety precautions.Normal health care environment.Work
involves exposure to plants and animals within the environment.The
