Reports To: Vice President of Sales A. Purpose and Scope of
PositionThis position is responsible for generating sales for Xtant
Medical and meeting or exceeding set sales quotas within their
assigned sales regions. This position will be responsible for
prospecting and generating calls to potential customers, as well as
close sales deals over the phone and maintain good customer
relationships. This person does not supervise other employees and
will support the activities of Independent Agents, Regional Vice
Presidents, and the Vice President of Sales. This position
interacts with employees in the sales force and may interact with
other Department Supervisors and employees as required.B.
Organizational Relationship This position reports to the Vice
President of Sales and is responsible for communicating effectively
with Xtant Medical Regional Vice Presidents. This position may
provide additional support to sales staff or other departments as
requested.C. Duties and Responsibilities
- Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the requirements of
the Food and Drug Administration (FDA); American Association of
Tissue Banks (AATB); International Organization of Standardization
(ISO) 13485; Medical Device Single Audit Program (MDSAP); and other
regulatory jurisdictions, as applicable, to help the company lead
the Medical Device and Biologics industries in quality
practice
- Adhere to Xtant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety
protocols, FDA Regulations for Human Cells, Tissues, and Cellular
and Tissue-Based Products (HCT/Ps) and Devices; operate in
compliance with FDA, AATB, ISO, and Occupational Safety and Health
Administration (OSHA) Standards
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the Xtant products and
general biological and chemical systems utilized within the
Department. Know how the activities performed in the Department are
controlled by and interact with the Quality System and how they
affect the production of medical devices and tissues as
applicable
- Perform all duties according to SOPs and Good Documentation
Practices (GDP) and follow appropriate safety precautions and
measures
- Represent the company in a professional manner to the public,
customers, and vendors and maintain trusting relationships with
physician partners, customers, and fellow employees
- Direct contact with ASC personnel to explore product use and
interest in direct purchase of products from Xtant
- Become fully trained on all Xtant products including
applications, comparison to competitive products, features, and
benefits
- Provide the value proposition to the ASC about the benefits of
purchasing direct from Xtant
- Conduct a minimum of 25 prospecting calls per day
- Effectively utilize consultative selling techniques and/or
processes to identify needs of the facility and recommend products
based on those needs
- Follow up with product brochures and supporting collateral on
products discussed
- Confirm interest in having an Xtant Medical Regional Vice
President contact the account for further discussion
- Work with Xtant Regional Vice President to pursue qualified
leads
- Build a pipeline of potential future business by prospecting
via the internet, assigned lists, outbound marketing/lead
campaigns, and other sources as identified
- Able to identify and understand customer needs, take
appropriate actions to ensure customer needs are met, and
pro-actively search for ways to increase customer satisfaction
- Target renewal and upgrade opportunities for existing ASC
customers
- Work as part of a team with ability to manage own time,
activities and resources, ensuring department standards are met on
a consistent basis
- Document all sales activities
- Forecast upcoming sales goals
- Effectively use technology-based customer management tools for
lead follow-up and disposition, pipeline management, forecasting,
and lost opportunity tracking
- Financial Responsibilities
- Submit timely expense reports and abide by the Expense
Reimbursement Policy
- Efficiently process all customer information, contracts, orders
and billing information
- Review sales and commission reports
- Assist in collection of past-due customer balances when
requested
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all company and customer
information
- Administer and report on consignment inventories
- Training
- Participate in training plans and programs and complete in a
timely manner within set deadlines
- Complete required training prior to attempting to perform a
task
- Develop and maintain a scientific understanding of the Xtant
Medical products and their respective uses
- Continually work to improve selling skills
- Maintain required training documentation
- Management
- This position does not supervise others
- Document Control and Record Control
- Assist in the completion and retention of documentation
pertaining to all SOPs as required
- Legibly and accurately complete all documentation associated
with assigned duties in accordance with GDP and review the written
documentation of others as required
- Maintain information in physical and electronic files as
required
- Train on and demonstrate proficiency in Xtant Medical's
document control system
- Other duties as assigned
- Performance of Duties
- Complete required training, including initial orientation and
environmental health and safety training, prior to performing
tasks. Keep training up to date
- Perform all duties according to established procedures and
follow appropriate safety precautions and measures
- Conduct himself/herself in a professional and courteous manner
in all aspects of interaction with fellow employees, surgeons,
staff, and end users
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
- Must maintain confidentiality of donor and recipient
information according to HIPAAD. Job Requirements
- Education/Credentials Experience & Training
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a
related field is preferred
- One (1) to two (2) years' previous experience as telemarketer
or similar sales/customer service role is required
- Medical experience, or experience selling products into ASCs is
preferred
- Technical Requirements/Skills
- Some knowledge of FDA, ISO, and AATB requirements as
applicable
- Demonstrated capability to communicate effectively both orally
and in writing
- Exceptional verbal and written interpersonal, presentation, and
communication skills
- Excellent telephone etiquette and ability to make a large
number of phone calls on a daily basis
- Strong analytical, negotiation and creative problem-solving
skills
- Ability to multitask and have strong organizational skills and
attention to detail
- Proficient computer skills required such as intermediate
knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other
software as necessary
- Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quotas
preferably over the phone
- Working knowledge of relevant computer programs and telephone
systems

recognizing scope and authority5. Working Conditions
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
Standard office hours are Monday - Friday; 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Work will require occasional weekend/evening work
- Work may require long periods of sitting and working at a
computer6. Health and Safety
- Must adhere to all health and safety requirements specified
when entering laboratory and device manufacturing areas and in the
handling of company products
- This position will sometimes be required to wear personal
protective equipment (PPE), including laboratory coat, scrubs, and
gloves, etc.
- May require OSHA (bloodborne pathogen) training, SDS, and other
