Demonstrates knowledge of basic cardiac rhythms and identifies
Evaluates patients identifying those at risk for falls and
implements the appropriate protocols
Exhibits appropriate use of the nursing process: assessment,
planning, intervention and evaluation of the following disease
entities: COPD, pneumonia, diabetes, anticoagulation therapy, total
knee/hip replacement, cholecystectomy, CHF, UTI, MRSA infections,
Detox, cancer, pain management
Participates in Medical/ Surgical performance improvement
Demonstrates knowledge of standards for restraints and seclusion,
i.e. Restraint and Seclusion protocol, physician orders,
documentation and reporting, and patient rights and teaching.
Knowledgeable of Infection Control, TB, Blood borne Pathogens and
Hazardous waste plans.
