The position of Nurse is located is located within a hospital or
health center in the Billings Area Indian Health Service, Division
of Nursing Services, Branch of Nursing: Inpatient or Outpatient
Nursing Services. The position reports to the Supervisory Nurse or
This position will support the Federal Government's response
efforts to COVID-19.

- Provide direct professional nursing care to patients in
hospitals or health centers.
- Interview patients and family members to consult with attending
physicians, other staff members to determine and evaluate the kind
of health and physical care needed.
- Observe and document patients' condition, change and/or
reaction to medication and medical treatment.
- Maintain health records by documenting observation, nursing
intervention and therapeutic measures administered.
- Provide counseling and teaching to patients and families or
surrogates on preventive, curative and rehabilitative measures
involved in health care.
