SummaryThis position is located with the Bureau of Indian
Affairs, Superintendent, Fort Peck Agency in Poplar, Montana. Learn

oversight, monitoring, and coordination for protection, management,
planning, conservation, development, and utilization of trust and
restricted lands. Analyzes requests for land into trust and use of
Indian-owned trust assets to determine the compatibility of
proposed uses with agency mission and owner's needs. Implements a
trust real estate services program to accomplish the timely and
efficient processing of applications for i.e., patents, removal of
restrictions, disposals, acquisitions, rights-of-way, surface and
subsurface leasing and permitting. Travel Required Not

Incumbent is required to operate a government motor vehicle, must
possess a valid driver's license, and have a safe driving record

Form 3607. Qualifications Grade-7Education: 1 full year of graduate
level education or superior academic achievement ORSpecialized
Experience: 1 year equivalent to at least GS-5Specialized
Experience GS-07:Performance of tasks that are performed under the
guidance of a higher grade specialist and includes responding to
routine inquiries and explaining realty services to the general
public; preparing in draft, routine realty transactions for review
and approval; performing quality assurance on detail transaction
data, i.e., contracts and conveyances; coordinating records for
compliance with established record management guidelines; assisting
in maintaining and retrieving information from automated data
systems; assisting with ensuring that leases, permits, easements,
rights-of-way and acquisition and disposal of trust lands are
issued at or above fair market value and that all terms and
conditions of the contract are met.Grade-9Education: master's or
equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher
level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D.,
if related ORSpecialized Experience: 1 year equivalent to at least
GS-7Specialized Experience GS-09:apply general real estate
principles, rules, regulations, and practices to manage real estate
services of Indian-owned property e.g. analyze requests for use of
Indian-owned trust assets to determine the compatibility of
proposed uses with agency mission and owner needs, resolving
routine problems that may arise with owners or contracts; and
applying a wide range of real estate methods to investigate and
analyze a variety of problems to develop solutions that typically
involve segments or phases of projects being carried out by higher
grade employees e.g. assist in negotiating terms and conditions in
authorizing documents to determine responsibility for resolving
conflicts or problems; determining special requirements on routine
transactions, recommending authorization of land use and advising
and providing assistance on routine matters.Grade-11Education:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of
progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a
degree or LL.M., if related ORSpecialized Experience: 1 year
equivalent to at least GS-9Specialized Experience GS-11:Apply

practices to manage real estate services of Indian-owned property;
gathering relevant information, researching, analyzing, developing
findings, and recommending alternatives in response to current and
emerging problems that may be complex or conflicting; managing
varied project activities to meet fiduciary and legal requirements
as it applies to management of trust and restricted property;
evaluating current practices to identify opportunities for change;
and initiating and maintaining contact with technical experts,
organizational staff, public and private business enterprises, and
the general public.All qualification requirements must be met by
