competition.RingCentral is looking for aSenior Technical Program
Managerto be a key leader in delivering products and features for
the Global Service Provider Product team. You will partner closely
with product managers, developers, telco operations, and other
technical parts of the organization to launch best-in-class
features and products. You will also work closely with partners to
coordinate integration and communicate status.Responsibilities:
- Guide technical decisions based on understood tradeoffs between
complexity and timeline.
- Act as the primary point of contact to handle project issues
and changes in scope, while clarifying ambiguous requirements or
deliverables.
- Simplify by identifying opportunities to leverage systems and
investments across business areas
- Work closely with software engineers, QA, product managers and
other engineering teams to get high-quality products and features
through the software project lifecycle (build, test and release on
time).
- Manage project schedules, identify possible issues and clearly
communicate them to project stakeholders.
- Take responsibility for release schedules and milestones,
keeping up a high velocity in a fast-paced environment.
- Coordinate & track readiness for all requirements across
technical groups, including product management, engineering,
operations. Ensure all teams meet quality and delivery schedules.
Provide leadership in connecting the dots amongst the different
technical teams. Recognize gaps and work with teams to fill
them
- Foresee dependencies, risks, and issues -- build the
appropriate program framework for projects and programs to lead the
team to deliver quality. Work with stakeholders and teams to
troubleshoot issues.
- Drive weekly program status reviews and escalate with partners
as needed to keep program plans on track.
- Communicate and collaborate with key internal partners on
progress and drive building joint plans.
- Create a strategy to scale processes as the program evolves;
continually improve processes.
- Foster a culture of data-driven program management, product
excellence and exceptional execution.
- Report executive-level progress and status of issues weekly,
daily when escalated.
- Navigate gray areas of responsibility and ensure issues are
handled, either directly or with clear hand-off to other owners.Key

- Experience with hands-on engineering, running software
development projects deployed in AWS or other cloud
- Strong software development/engineering background
- Experience in Software Engineering, Software Infrastructure
Engineering, Security, Big Data and Analytics, or Cloud
Networking.
- Experience in problem solving within fast-paced and constantly
changing environments.
- Experience working cross-functionally in a highly integrated
team composed of both technical and non-technical members.
- Experience in communicating technical concepts to non-technical
audiences.
- Ability to lead a technical, matrixed organization without
direct authority. You have the uncanny ability to gain the respect
of teams that don't directly report to you. You build strong
relationships in order to fulfill your strategy and goals. You
create alignment and maintain accountability.

Background:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical,
software discipline
- 10+ years of experience in technical program or engineering
management
- Experience in UCaaS technical program/project management
- Experience in Cloud, SaaS, Software, UC or
telecommunications
- Demonstrated experience in running large-scale, complex,
technical projects
