Opportunity:
We're seeking a hardworking, down-to-earth, network engineer to oversee design of small, medium, and large sub-networks as part of the overall service provider network, as well as design and maintain subscriber access systems.

This position will require:
Carry out the configuration of routing and switching equipment according to a design
Maintenance of network equipment including software upgrades, replacements, and configuration backups
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues with existing IP switched and routed access networks (non-core) (including OSPF, OSPFv2, BGP, MP-BGP, LDP, RSVP and MPLS), escalate if necessary
Troubleshoot and resolve escalated customer trouble tickets
Provisioning and maintenance of layer 2/3 customer services including DIA, l2vpn and l3vpn
Monitor network performance to decide if changes may need made
Participate in an on-call rotation. The rotation is typically one week per month, but can change at any time due to staffing changes
Carry out scheduled network maintenances
