Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice is
required. Certifications: BLS - American Heart Association, ACLS
Must-Have: Medical surgical experience with strong emphasis on
assessment skills. Endoscopy experience preferred. Description:
Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual
patient care in the GI Lab according to unit policies and
procedures. Accepts the responsibility for the direction of
coworkers in the implementation of the care plan. Performs other
duties as assigned. The following are essential functions of the
position: Be available to work as scheduled and report to work on
time. Be available to work overtime if needed. Be available to be
on-call as assigned. Be willing to accept supervision and work well
with others. Be respectful of all individuals interacted with and
follow service behaviors. Be well-groomed and dressed appropriately

patient care data. Applies technical skills and experience to
assess the patient's status and needs. Completes appropriate
diagnostic techniques/tests to ascertain the patient's ongoing
condition. Implements a plan of care encompassing traditional and
complementary therapies. Performs the necessary interventions.
Directs, instructs, and observes patients and significant others in
self-care/patient care or understanding of information given.
Informs themselves of physician's instructions or ancillary
caregiver's observations or concerns and takes these into
consideration in providing appropriate care. Provides ongoing
evaluation of the patient's response to care and revises the plan
of care. Keeps an accurate record of the patient's status and care
dispensed. Completes checklists, writes clear narratives, and/or
enters data onto computer files as appropriate. Ensures proper
documentation for the next shift and next caregiver. Follows up on
outstanding data or instructions. Completes proper teaching,
discharge planning, and outcome notes on the patient. Requirements
