Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Billings, MT Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,146 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Alternating Shifts Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1.5 years of prior ICU RN experience required License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Independent and competent ability to work with complex, high acuity trauma, neuro, and surgical ICU patients is required. First-time travelers accepted. Candidates must be located 75 miles from the facility. Description: This position requires an ICU RN to work alternating shifts of 0700-1930 and 1900-0730. Weekend shifts may be required, but not every weekend and not necessarily every other weekend. The candidate must have experience with a patient ratio of 2. Preferred experience in trauma level I or II facilities. The role includes interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure, and arterial line management. Candidates will care for ventilated patients and demonstrate proficiency in managing continuous IV sedation and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips. Suctioning (ETT, NT) and interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) are also required. The daily census in this unit is 6, and the unit includes a mix of adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. Patient diagnoses include trauma, neurosurgical cases, and general surgery. Candidates should be prepared to float within the critical care division as needed.
