Must-Have: Compassionate and approachable, responsible and
trustworthy Description: Using appropriate measures, a physician
will diagnose diseases, injuries, and other conditions. The
physician will provide or prescribe appropriate treatment. With a
patient-centered approach, the physician will communicate options
to patients, address concerns, and answer questions. The physician
will use their expertise to prevent illness and injury. Accurate
and complete documentation in the medical record is essential for
continuing care, compliance, quality, safety, and billing. The
physician is expected to provide appropriate leadership and
feedback to the clinical team providing patient care. Consultation
with colleagues and referral of patients to other sources of care
should occur when clinically appropriate. The physician will
provide availability for office visits, phone calls, electronic
communication, and on-call coverage as outlined in policy.
Participation in ongoing organizational efforts of continuous
improvement in quality, safety, and patient experience is required.
Continuous learning and self-improvement are essential components
of the position. The physician will promote mission, vision, and
values in their practice. Additional duties may be defined in the
physician employment agreement and as required by specialty.
