Job Description:As a Imaging Nurse, you will be responsible for
leading nursing services in imaging across multiple departments and
facilities, ensuring safe, high-quality, and cost-efficient patient
care. Your leadership will involve overseeing staffing, resource
allocation, and fostering a work environment that supports
excellent nursing practice. This role also involves managing pre-op
and post-op care, assisting with interventional procedures, and
ensuring that imaging services meet high standards. This position
is available only at facilities with Comprehensive Stroke
Certification or Thrombectomy Stroke Center. About Us:

2024) Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' physical,
social, and psychological status.
- Develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with
patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Implement and delegate care consistent with the plan of care
and professional guidelines.
- Evaluate patient responses to interventions and revise plans of
care as needed.
- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards, including
documentation and scope of licensure.
- Identify, verify, and prepare patients for imaging exams and
interventional procedures.
- Manage pre-op and post-op care, including conscious sedation,
hemodynamic monitoring, and ECG interpretation.
- Operate and support advanced interventional procedures,
anticipating and responding to procedural needs.
- Oversee imaging nursing staff, ensuring adequate staffing,
skill mix, and development of competency.
- Complete accurate documentation for all procedures, including
time stamps and image storage. Position Details:
- Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
- Location: Intermountain Health St. Vincent Regional
Hospital
- Shift: Days, 7AM-5:30PM. Call and holiday coverage also
needed.
- Compensation Grade: $39.99-$59.18 Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an
accredited institution.
- Licensure: Active State RN license.
- Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Providers, ACLS or PALS
certification (or must obtain within a specified timeframe).
- Experience: Nursing experience in Critical Care or Emergency
settings. Understanding basic x-ray principles and practices. Must
complete criteria for RN Medical Imaging I, plus 3 of the
following:
- PICC line placement,
- IJ Central line placement,
- Charge Nurse
- Clinical coach/preceptor
- National Vascular Access Nurse Certification,
- National Stroke Certification,
- National Radiology Nurse Certification.
- Sedation in a trauma center I or II Preferred Qualifications:
- Registered member of ARNA/ARIN.
- RCIS or RNCB/CRN registration.
- Leadership experience. Physical Requirements:
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels,
assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and
supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients,
and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well
as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and
issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency
situations.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and
delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes
frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care,
accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer
patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and
equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and
including heavy items.
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This
includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including
heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms
(full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an
