Duties:- Perform respiratory therapy assessments, including patient
history, physical exams, and diagnostic tests- Develop and
implement individualized treatment plans for patients with
respiratory disorders- Administer respiratory medications and
treatments as prescribed by physicians- Monitor and evaluate
patient responses to therapy and adjust treatment plans as
necessary- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care
techniques and disease management- Collaborate with
interdisciplinary healthcare team members to provide comprehensive
patient care- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and
treatments accurately and timelyRequirements:- Bachelor's degree in
Respiratory Therapy- Current state licensure as a Respiratory
Therapist- Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care
(NBRC)- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting,
preferably in critical care or ICU- Strong knowledge of respiratory
physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology- Proficiency in airway
management techniques, including intubation and mechanical
ventilation- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required;
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
preferredSkills:- Critical thinking skills to assess patient
conditions and make appropriate treatment decisions- Excellent
communication skills to effectively interact with patients,
families, and healthcare team members- Ability to work well under
pressure in high-stress situations- Strong attention to detail to
ensure accurate documentation and adherence to treatment plans-
Proficiency in using respiratory therapy equipment and
technology
