Job Description:The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. On call required.Unit/Location: St Vincent NICUAdditional Details: Shift differentials given for evenings, nights and weekendsTo show our commitment to you and to assist with your transition into our organization, we are offering up to a $20,000 sign-on bonus for candidates with at least one year of NICU RN experience.ScopeThis position involves working shifts on the floor, while being available when called for flight duties. You won't be flying every shift, but you should be prepared for the possibility of being called to fly when needed.As a Registered Nurse you know that every day is different, which is why you need to know how to:Assess, recognize and address patients psychological and physical needsFoster quality of care with the best interests of patients and their families in mind- Communicate compassionately and effectivelyAssist in developing individualized treatment plansComply with evaluation, treatment and documentation guidelinesOversee care delivered by LPNs and/or CNAsParticipate in clinical team conferencesFollow hospital, regulatory and professional guidelines, policies and proceduresReview and monitor therapy and treatment plansDocument in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelinesPromote mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health and abide by service behavior standardsMay be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business needMay be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.Minimum QualificationsEducationGraduation from an accredited School of NursingA Registered Nurse with an ASN/ADN degree must complete a BSN degree within four (4) years from the Registered Nurses date of hire unless the Registered Nurse has a minimum of fifteen (15) years of proven continuous Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting. Failure to obtain a BSN degree within that time frame may result in suspension or termination of employment. Any Registered Nurse who takes legally protected leave during the Four (4) year completion period may have the period extended by a comparable amount of time.Registered Nurses employed by St Vincent, Good Samaritan, St. Joseph, or Lutheran Medical Centers as of September 1, 2014 with only an ASN/ADN will be exempt from this requirement. Registered Nurses employed by Holy Rosary, Platte Valley, St. Marys, Home Health, and TSFP as of December 31, 2017 with only an ASN/ADN will be exempt from this requirement.CertificationCurrent license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice is required.Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification upon hire or obtained within 60 days of hire with prior approval.
