GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Wyoming Retirement Center's (WRC) mission is to stabilize and
help the persons we care for attain and maintain their highest
functional level. WRC is seeking a motivated RN to provide
oversight and assist in managing the facility's restorative and
functional maintenance program. This position will also assist in
transporting residents to provider appointments, as necessary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and
are not intended to describe every function which may be performed
in the job level.
* Performs nursing assessments and evaluations to identify
restorative needs in collaboration with the Nursing department upon
resident admission and during ongoing care conference reviews
* As necessary, works in collaboration with the physical and/or
occupational therapist
* Provide functional enhancement modalities for ADLs
(grooming/hygiene, dressing, toileting, mobility,
feeding/assisting, etc.).
* Ensure that the residents' programs are being completed and
appropriately documented.
* Provides oversight and work assignments to restorative CNAs
* Provides transportation of residents for appointments, as
necessary
* Communicates with the maintenance department of any repairs or
replacements needed on the rehab equipment.
* Provides floor shift coverage, as necessary
Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Preference may be given to those individuals who have six (6)
months of experience in a long-term care setting.
New graduates are welcome to apply.
KNOWLEDGE:
* Knowledge of laws, principles, practices, and techniques of
professional nursing.
* Knowledge of medication, administration, and complex mathematical
calculations for the correct dosage.
* Knowledge of maintaining medical records, charts, reports, and
observations.
* Knowledge of the aging process, medical problems and diseases,
and behavioral issues.
* Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws pertaining to health
care and Standards of Nursing Practice.
* Knowledge of and ability to function and make decisions in
high-stress situations.
* Knowledge of and ability to use good oral and written
communication skills to articulate thoughts and medical
terminology.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree (typically in Nursing)
Experience:
0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing)
with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse
(RN) in the State of Wyoming
OR
Education & ExperienceSubstitution:
3-5 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing)
with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse
(RN) in the State of Wyoming

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
* Lift/transfer persons in our care to different positions.
* Lift persons and/or medical equipment of varying sizes and
weights up to about 50 lbs.
* Work holidays, evenings, nights, and /or weekends as
scheduled.
NOTES:
* FLSA: Non-exempt
* For the health and protection of the persons in our care, annual
influenza vaccination is required and annualtesting for
tuberculosis.
* Employees of this facility will be expected to follow all rules
and requirements established by the Centers for Medicare and
Medicaid Services regarding COVID-19.
* A background check, including the taking of fingerprints, will be
completed through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation,
the Department of Family Services, and the Federal Bureau of
Investigation for every successful applicant.
* Pre-employment drug testing will be conducted on safety-sensitive
positions (direct patient care positions are considered
safety-sensitive). Drug and alcohol testing will be conducted in
any position if reasonable suspicion exists.
