Job Description:

Immediate locum tenens need for a hospitalist in Montana.Any state license accepted.Malpractice + travel is covered.COVID Unit1)This is a medical surgical floor that has been designated as COVID only. No ICU in hospital. Using High Flow Nasal cannula, CPAP, BiPap available. Not keeping ventilated patients in hospital, unless unable to transfer to higher level of care. We have not had to keep any critical patients at this time.2)admissions, number of rounding teams ? Typical daily census is around 6-8 patients. Surge to 15 possible, but has not happened before. One rounding team. Typically patients are staying for 2-3 weeks, some sent home or transferred to higher level of care. Average 4 admissions per week, can vary with census. 3)Day/Night shift ? number of shifts required per month ? Hospitalist currently work/ on call coverage is 24/7 for 2 weeks at a time. We would like to continue this current schedule pattern if possible. I think this is able to be accomplished with low acuity and small patient census with one provider covering 24/7.
