The Commercial Director will be responsible for driving our holistic commercial strategy for Europe within the wholesale and premium partnerships channels. This leadership role is based in Amsterdam and will report to our Managing Director, International who is in the Netherlands. As the Commercial Director of Europe, you will have responsibility for the growth of our European business including sales, merchandizing, and marketing execution. This is a cross-functional role that will require exceptional leadership capabilities and strong collaboration with many different teams across multiple geographies. This individual will also be responsible for providing on the ground support and direction to our European partners and internal teams, effectively communicating the company vision and bridging communication with central HQ. Responsibilities: Drive our growth strategy in Europe, leveraging corporate resources and tailoring to fit local market dynamics Develop and manage short term and long-term sales and go to market strategies for all lifestyle & outdoor distribution channels across Europe Optimize the omni channel customer experience, identifying localization opportunities while maintaining our brand voice, image, and mission Build brand awareness and organic demand, ensuring healthy ROIs across initiatives and prioritizing budgets for biggest impact Lead, align and execute clear channel specific merchandizing strategies across all product lines for the region Build and maintain on-the-ground relationships with key partners including wholesale retailers, agents, and distributors Lead a team of independent sales agents across the region to drive monthly and quarterly sales targets Optimize product assortments and achieve overall retail excellence across our accounts Own the KPIs for Europe - monitoring on a weekly, and monthly basis and digging into root causes to understand and address emerging trends Key account management and development across the region Attend tradeshows and key events to drive brand awareness and revenue Lead weekly/ monthly sales forecasting meetings with territory sales agents and generate reports as required to understand health of the business Help lead and drive localized marketing plans for product launches, brand campaigns and consumer experiences across retail and ecommerce Ensure trade terms, discounts & markdowns are managed to develop companys margin goals Qualifications and Attributes: Bachelors Degree and at least 10 years of commercial experience within consumer goods focused on Lifestyle and Outdoor category distribution channels At least 6 years of experience leading commercial teams to meet regional objectives and revenue targets Ability to develop and execute regional strategic growth plans and build the business within new territories across Europe Experience with account development and building sales territories from scratch Excellent presentation and communication skills Ability to build and lead sales and marketing teams across Europe Proven ability to communicate across various departments globally to drive results Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure Experience with supply and demand forecasting desired Experience with import/export logistics and fulfilment operations desired Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills Ability to synthesize disparate and complex inputs into clear and concise conclusions and recommendations Ability to thrive in a cross functional and remote team environment Exceptionally resourceful, detail-oriented, and highly organized Strong interpersonal skills with previous experience working across multiple cultures and languages Proficient communication skills in English and preferably French or German Ability to travel 25% YETI is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
