***THIS POSITION REQUIRES SIGNIFICANT HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE! ***COORS Leadership Capital invites you to explore an outstanding opportunity for the Chief Executive Officer at Northeast Montana Health Services, a multi-hospital health system focused on providing the community with the latest in technological advances and medical innovations. Northeast Monana Health Services (NEMHS) consists of two, Critical Access Hospitals, one located in Wolf Point and one in Poplar. Additionally, the system includes two rural healthcare clinics, two pharmacies, and a nursing home. The CEO is responsible for creating an environment and culture that enables the hospital to fulfill its mission, vision, and meeting or exceeding its goals, conveying the hospital's mission, vision values to all staff, holding staff accountable for performance, motivating staff to improve performance, recognize and reward performance, and being responsible for the operation of measurement, assessment and improvement of the hospital's performance. Our client is seeking a candidate that will drive a culture of excellence, accountability and superb patient care; as well enhancing ties to the community and building lasting relationships.CEO candidates must possess:

  • Ability to navigate and guide the organization through a significant change process
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of District Hospitals and health care management methods, financial management practices and general health care market trends
  • Working knowledge of all relevant regulatory compliance and certification standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication and executive management skills
  • Ability to manage diverse relationships between board members, physicians, management, employee groups, and the community is required
  • In depth understanding of financial management, operations, strategic needs, and interventions at the facility level is required
  • Must be able to motivate, inspire, and communicate with individuals and groupsDesired Qualifications:
    • Master's Degree in Hospital Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Public Health (MPH), or MS in Health Administration for Business Administration or related field is required.
    • A minimum of 7 years of Executive level experience, including 5 years in healthcare administration.
    • Exceptional physician recruitment and relations skills are required.
    • Exceptional community and board relations skills are required.
    • Exceptional leadership skills and a hands-on visible approach to staff management and interaction are required.
    • Exceptional financial acumen and operations management expertise are required.
    • Experience working with Tribal governance is preferredCore Values:

Poplar is the location of the Tribal headquarters for the reservation. These small towns have much to offer the traveler and families relocating from another area. While in Wolf Point and Poplar, visit the Wolf Point and Poplar Musuem or Tribal Musuem showcasing fossils, Indian artifacts, railroad, early business, aviation, and wildlife collections. The Fort Peck Indian Reservation area is full of scenic rolling plains and open farmland. Many roads lead to Fort Peck Lake through the Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge. Bugling elk, herds of mule deer, red fox and coyotes call this place home.
