Laurel area preferred Guidepost GP 9-10 ($82,000 - $135,500)(Project Management Certification required for Lead title) Employment Status Regular Full-time Employment Physical Required Drug Test Required Background Check Required Relocation Benefit Negotiable Telecommuting None SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION The Project Manager or Lead Project Manager will be responsible for planning, directing and implementing the Large Project Management Plan for the construction and operation of the generation growth projects. DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provides strategic leadership and technical, operational, financial, and managerial leadership for successful implementation of project activities.
  • Provides oversight of project implementation including all activities, outputs, and outcomes related to project management and administration, including reporting, budget development and monitoring, financial transactions, execution of project plans, and project performance
  • Oversees the selection and training of qualified staff, assigning clear roles and responsibilities, providing effective supervision, and managing performance to ensure efficient operations
  • Conducts reviews to ensure accountability of all project activities as well as the accurate and timely reporting of schedule and financial deliverables and obligations
  • Ensures that projects progress in accordance to contractual obligations and comply with regulations and internal organizational policies
  • Manage project time line to completion of project in a safe and environmentally conscious manner
  • Responsible for all aspects of project construction
  • Responsible for all aspects permitting processes, such as but not limited to - environmental, zoning, FAA
  • Responsible for all aspects of developing work packages, organizing materials, directing construction crews
  • Must manage costs and schedules, coordinate equipment, contract resources, performance testing and contract negotiation
  • Provide Status reports for Internal and External Stakeholders
  • Comply with all local, state and environmental requirements
  • Create, maintain and retain all required documents - Brightworks
  • Required to submit all applications necessary for generation interconnections and also provided documentation to apply and register within the governing transmission provider and affected systems
  • Responsible for directing, leading and driving the project including scheduling, coordination and implementation
  • Position interfaces with engineers, environmental groups, executive management, drafting, State and Federal regulators, and contract resources
  • Most job time spent in the field and exposure to all field hazards. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
  • Travel including overnights may be required up to 50% GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
    • Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
    • A Bachelor's Degree in engineering, project management, construction management, related field or equivalent experience within a related field
    • Possess a PE or ability to obtain a PE preferred
    • Experience in generation and project management preferred
    • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and other computer applications
    • Knowledge and familiarity of using Brightworks is preferred
    • Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills
    • Project management experience/skills and broad general business experience
    • Excellent oral and written communications skills
    • Ability to work independently without close supervision and confer with supervisors on unusual circumstances
    • Ability and flexibility to handle multiple tasks
    • Knowledge of industry such as CAISO EIM, NERC, FERC, EPA, Title V air permitting, Construction practices
    • Strong technical background
