Northrop Grumman Space Systems Strategic Deterrent Systems Division is seeking a Director of Employee Experience, focused on Division-wide Employee Experience projects and programs. This role reports directly to the Division Director of Strategy & Operations and is located in Roy, UT. In this position, the Director of Employee Experience will lead and direct an experienced and diverse team responsible for hiring and onboarding talent and resourcing leadership to support employee development and connection. As this work spans across a diverse set of stakeholders, the leader will be expected to collaborate effectively and partner across organizations -- Human Resources, Communications, Site Operations, and Program Leadership - to develop, implement, measure, communicate, and oversee change management associated with such programs for the Division. Specifically in this role a leader will:

  • -- Oversee the Division Dedicated Hiring Team - an empowered team of Discipline leads who translate requirements, interview candidates, and extend offers on behalf of the Division portfolio of programs to efficiently and sustainably meet staffing requirements
  • Inform hiring strategy - in partnership with business leaders, HR and talent acquisition - to ensure hiring goals are met
  • Integrate and lead facilitation of Division onboarding including:
    • Integration, design, execution and ongoing improvement of Division orientation and programmatic offerings from pre-hire through year 1 of work with Strategic Deterrent Systems
    • Launch and facilitate a peer Navigators program to ensure team of volunteers are appropriately paired with new hires and resources to provide engaging and welcoming experience as employees join the team
    • Develop SDS Division level processes, procedures and guidance documents aligned to the Space Systems Sector command media--
    • Create and execute communication and change management plans across all stakeholders in the Division to build buy-in and ensure program effectiveness
    • Support and coordinate with industry and academia to identify and develop a healthy pipeline of talent
    • Nurture and foster a diverse and inclusive environment
    • Define, organize and execute developmental and networking experiences for employees; inclusive of programming for interns, rotational employees, new hires, manager community of practice, etc.
    • Prepare charts and briefings on status/progress and processes; attend and present in the appropriate cadences to ensure stakeholder awareness through Executive level
    • Manage and maintain all metrics associated with Employee Engagement and Staffing
    • Help develop and shape additional programs/processes to improve Employee Engagement A successful candidate for this role will be detailed and team oriented with demonstrated leadership and organization skills. Seeking a candidate with demonstrated experience:
      • Developing content, packaging, and briefing communications - both written and verbal - effectively at an Executive level to inform and drive decisions
      • Collaborating across organizations to bring forward a consolidated objective and measure performance
      • --Leading through a program or project start-up and effectively rolling out and managing change
      • Acting with a sense of urgency and accountability; taking ownership of tasks and strategic direction

        This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

        UTSpace Qualifications Basic Qualifications
        • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access
        • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience ; inclusive of 3 years of experience leading projects and delivering on cost and schedule expectations
        • Experience developing content, packaging, and briefing communications - both written and verbal - effectively at an Executive level to inform and drive decisions
        • Experience leading through a program or project start-up and effectively rolling out and managing change
        • Experience working with business leaders, HR and talent acquisition to develop hiring strategies
        • 2 years experience working with HR and Talent Acquisition hiring a technical diverse work force
        • At least 1 year experience with Agile processes
        • At least 3 years project management experience, delivering on cost and schedule commitments Preferred Qualifications
          • Active in-scope DoD Secret Clearance, reviewed within the last 6 years
          • Leadership experience through a program or organizational stand-up
