NILE General Manager Northern International Livestock Exposition Job Posting Job Title: NILE General Manager Salary Level: $55,000 Base plus Commissions DOE Reports To: NILE Executive Board Prepared Date: November 1, 2020 SUMMARY Oversee the general business and management activities of the NILE organization including the events of NILE Stock Show and Rodeo, NILE PBR Invitational, Montana Agri-Trade Exposition, and various other NILE events. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Administration of the business office including supervision, hiring, and training of all staff and contract personnel. Coordinate production of programs/events and projects. Develop operating budgets on an annual basis. Promotion and sales of membership, trade shows, stock shows, rodeo, spring/fall activities, and other duties assigned. Organize and coordinate regular board meetings, committee meetings, and social gatherings. Public representation of NILE through community activities and events. Oversee press releases and other articles/information for general membership. Oversee Operation of Sound Systems along with Video and Multi-Media presentations. Solicit funding and execute/negotiate contracts for NILE membership, NILE Foundation, sponsorship and activities. Administration of NILE Website and Social Media (Facebook, Twitter). Strategic planning structured around NILE Mission Statement SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Represents NILE at various industry meetings. Graphic design of NILE posters, mailings, banners, catalogs and displays. Other duties assigned by President and/or Board of Directors. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, and/or equivalent combination of education and associated industry experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of board members, membership base, business clients, and the general public. COMPUTER/TECHNICAL SKILLS Ability to operate/administer content of website and Facebook page. Ability to operate Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, and Outlook). Ability to operate Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), Visio (map making), and Graphics Software. General knowledge of computers, servers and office equipment. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and perform spreadsheet analysis. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
