Are you an experienced Engineer looking to join a small dedicated group of like-minded water resources professionals?HydroSolutions Inc. is currently seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our team in Billings Montana.Company Profile:HydroSolutions Inc is a Montana based consulting firm specializing in water resources and the environment.We are a family owned business organized as a S-Corporation that has been in business for two decades. HydroSolutions currently employs 11 full- and part-time professionals including engineers, geologists, hydrologists, scientists, and water rights specialists. HydroSolutions holds multiple state and federal contracts and ongoing service agreements with private companies. We have offices in Billings and Helena, Montana. Position Title: Water Resources EngineerOffice Location: Billings, MontanaClassification/Salary: Full-Time; Regular salary DOE/DOQ: $63,000 to $76,000Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Health Savings Account (HSA), Retirement (401-k match), PTO, and paid holidaysHours: General office hours (8:00 am - 5 pm) when working in the office, flexibility with supervisor approval and consistency with company policy; field work may require longer hoursEssential Functions and Primary DutiesManage projects and contractsDevelop designs and technical reports relating to water resources engineering including public water supplies, wastewater treatment, irrigation infrastructure, stream restoration, mine reclamationDesign, oversee, and conduct environmental and scientific investigations, field work, and permittingSubcontractor and construction oversight and managementMarketing and development of regional base of business that brings in work for you and others in the companyPrepare project budgets, proposals, and other business development activitiesKey SkillsApplication of engineering and scientific principles to solve problems. Technical areas include environmental, civil, water resources, hydrology, groundwater, water treatment, environmental remediation, air quality and othersMust be motivated, a self-starter, and a problem solverKnowledge and understanding of state and federal contracting mechanismsUse of computer programs including Microsoft products, AutoCAD, and modeling softwareCreativity and ability to learn new skills and areas of practiceEffective written and verbal communicationOrganization of multiple tasksAbility to work independently and set own work priorities; and to supervise othersPositive client interface and work attitudeAccuracy and attention to details, ability to meet deadlinesQualificationsBS in civil/geotech/mining or other related engineering field8+ years related experienceProfessional Engineer license in State of Montana or ability to obtain it through application or reciprocityValid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle ReportConditions of EmploymentMaintains business etiquette and representation appropriate for professional officeStrict confidentiality of all project information and data is required inside and outside the officeCompliance with prevailing company policies and Employee Handbook, HydroSolutions' Corporate Health and Safety - Standard Operating Procedures ManualOther terms as determined by HydroSolutions Inc.Possible drug testing based on client and contract requirementsSupervisor: VP Operations & Senior EngineerThis is a professional mid to senior-level position. You will perform environmental and engineering consulting services for HydroSolutions Inc. Your work may include anything within our field of practice and must meet the quality standards of HydroSolutions and the scientific/engineering community in which we practice. You will develop and manage projects and provide quality control review of technical work by others. You are expected to assist HydroSolutions in development of its regional base of business. You will be responsible for the profitable performance of your work.You will conduct business with clients, regulatory agency personnel, other professionals, and contractors. You will be expected to be a point of contact with government agencies and private organizations and develop and maintain excellent working relationships on behalf of HydroSolutions. The position requires that you will both lead and assist business development efforts to broaden the depth and scope of clientele for HydroSolutions in Montana and northwest region market area. Expanding existing contract work, identifying new opportunities, and preparing proposals and marketing is required. As a professional, your business development and technical expertise will also be required to support other offices as requested. You may be required to work out of other HydroSolutions offices or other project locations for short periods whenever necessary for satisfactory coordination and performance of work. Out-of-town work for short durations may be required and are project dependent. You will receive technical and administrative support from other staff and offices. You may be required to supervise subordinate staff as approved by management.*This is not exhaustive and may also include other duties as assigned.
