Job Description:
Specific Role: We’re seeking motivated and driven Mechanical,
Electrical, and Computer Engineering students for EMIT
Technologies’ Summer 2026 Internship Program. This internship
provides hands-on, real-world engineering experience in a
fast-paced manufacturing and technology environment supporting the
energy and industrial sectors. EMIT Technologies designs and
manufactures emissions control solutions, gas compression
components, and integrated control systems. Our work spans
precision metal fabrication, engineered mechanical systems,
industrial control panels, and advanced telematics platforms that
monitor and optimize gas compression equipment in the field.
Interns will gain direct exposure to how engineered products move
from concept to production and how hardware and software integrate
to create data-driven industrial solutions. This is an in-person,
project-based internship where you will work alongside experienced
engineers and contribute to meaningful projects that support
production, customer solutions, and long-term product innovation.
How Your Skills Translate at EMIT: Mechanical Engineering students
will apply SolidWorks design skills in a real-world metals
manufacturing environment, learning how precision fabrication,
welding, and machining impact design decisions and product
performance. Electrical Engineering students will gain hands-on
experience designing and supporting industrial control panels that
operate critical gas compression and emissions equipment in the
field. Computer Engineering students will work on integrated
control and telematics platforms, developing software systems that
connect to physical hardware, collect operational data, and enable
data-driven performance optimization for industrial equipment. Key
Accountabilities: Mechanical Engineering Intern: Support mechanical
design efforts using SolidWorks in a metals manufacturing
environment Assist in developing 3D models, detailed drawings, and
bills of materials Apply design-for-manufacturability principles in
sheet metal, machining, and welded assemblies Collaborate with
Production and Quality teams to improve manufacturability and
reduce cost Participate in prototype builds, testing, and design
revisions Support documentation updates, revision control, and
engineering change processes Electrical Engineering Intern: Assist
in the design and documentation of industrial control panels
