Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to
join the System Support Team. This position is in Roy, UT and
supports the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program.What
You'll Get To Do:The selected candidate will be responsible for
creating and implementing deployable structures and mechanical
mechanisms at the cutting edge of space technology. You will have
ownership of your work from the concept creation through the design
and analysis phases and may also participate in the manufacturing,
testing, and integration of the systems. This role will utilize a
Systems Engineering approach to establish Support Equipment
functional and performance requirements and will include
involvement in all phases of research and product lifecycle
development starting with requirements, initial concepts, trade
studies, early prime equipment design influence, design and
development of the Support Equipment item, fabrication/procurement,
engineering evaluation testing, verification, delivery of hardware,
and support of delivered hardware.Roles and responsibilities:The
candidate will be responsible for their projects, preparing
reports, and briefing leadership. Frequent inter-organization and
outside customer communication is required, and the candidate
represents the organization in providing solutions to
moderate-to-difficult technical issues associated with specific
projects. Will utilize an ability to handle multiple tasks in a
dynamic environment, including critical thinking and technical

Bring These Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM
(Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 5 years
of experience; 3 years with Master's Degree; 0 years with PhD
2years experience with 3D design / 2D drawing CAD utilizing NX or
similar software Experience establishing product requirements,
design of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical equipment
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Project, PowerPoint, Excel,
Word Active DoD Secret clearanceThese Qualifications Would be Nice
to Have: Master's degree in STEM related discipline Hands on
experience with equipment maintenance, fabrication, assembly,
power, hand and measuring tools Aerospace / ICBM maintenance
experience Knowledge in design of mechanical and electrical ICBM
subsystems Knowledge in the development of SE design solutions
Experience with ANSI/ASME Y14.5 GD& T Experience with NX CAD system
Experience with Teamcenter/CPLM Product Design Must possess
excellent oral and written communication
skills#GBSDmechanicalSalary Range: $79,700 USD $119,500
USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition
to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
