If you are a current FIB employee, please apply through the Career Worklet in the Employee Portal.SUMMARYProvides support to the First Interstate Wealth Management Retirement Services Team. This individual will assist the Retirement Specialists and Retirement Plan Advisors in the performance of their duties and servicing clients. Strong interpersonal skills and client service responsibilities are key components of the position.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:* Support processes critical to the daily activity in qualified retirement plans including account administration, but not limited to processing daily deposits, transfers and distributions.* Provide telephone support to participants and FIB staff with prompt response to all inquiries, in a professional and responsive manner.* Clerical and organizational assistance with department communications, including drafting electronic communications, creating and sending regulatory disclosures, invoicing and scanning. Maintain client information.* Assist in preparation of documentation to support new business activities working with program partners to generate proposals, pricing, etc. Design, generate, and maintain proposal and presentation materials necessary for client needs and customize presentations with appropriate software.* Schedule Plan Reviews and appointments. Aid in preparation of review materials for retirement plan clients, working closely with retirement team members.* Create and provide periodic reports and participant statements to the Retirement Services team and FIB staff.* Work with investment reporting tools to facilitate client and prospect investment reporting on an ongoing basis.* Other duties or special projects may be assigned.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Strong organizational skills are required.Computer skills are essential--experience with PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook required.Ability to pay attention to detail required, especially in time-sensitive and pressure situations. Must have excellent interpersonal skills to interface in person and via telephone. Must have the ability to work independently, problem-solve and to prioritize projects/responsibilities. The position requires flexibility, as priorities change and as needs arise to assist other department colleagues. This position allows opportunity for increased responsibility. Strong organizational skills are required.LICENSESNASD Series 63 and Series 7 and State of MT life insurance licensing are preferred, but not required.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or equivalent job experience. One-three years related experience preferred in retirement plans, brokerage, or trust.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to read procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to handle client inquiries, concerns and complaints in a polite and effective manner. Ability to effectively communicate with supervisor.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to compute ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to acquire knowledge of investments, securities and/or trust laws, procedures and policies and the ability to comply with such laws, procedures and policies.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
