SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking highly experienced,
dynamic, self-motivated Natural Resources Project Manager with
strong interpersonal skills and experience in natural resources
management and biological studies. - This individual will
successfully drive our projects throughout all phases from early
planning and permitting through construction. You should reside in
the Sheridan, WY and support our operations in both locations for a
variety of projects in the upper Midwest/Northern Plains. -
Additional opportunities will be available to work with other
offices in the region and across the country. - Highly qualified
project managers living in nearby locations (e.g., Montana; others)
will be seriously considered for a distributed role and are
encouraged to apply. -This Natural Resources Project Manager will
have technical expertise in all aspect of Natural Resource
permitting, NEPA, facility siting and constraints studies, and
agency interactions at all levels. - Skills include the ability to
manage large and complex projects and milestones within schedule
and budget expectations and primarily be responsible for QA/QC
oversight of field data to support report-writing and permitting. -
The Natural Resources Project Manager will be experienced in
managing multiple components and multidisciplinary staff to
complete project permitting requirements. -Our Natural Resources
program works on diverse natural resources related projects across
many business lines, including oil and gas, renewable energy,
utilities, infrastructure, transportation, and mining projects. In
addition, the Sheridan, WY office offers a unique work environment
and specializes in natural resources, cultural resources, and
permitting. -This is a regular (with benefits), full-time, salaried
position. Pay rate will be based on individual qualifications and

- Associate Project Manager -- Typically has at least five (5)
years of relevant industry experience and expertise.
- Project Manager -- Typically has at least seven (7) years of
relevant industry experience and expertise.What you will accomplish
- Serve as project manager or technical lead on a variety of
resource management planning projects
- Manage small and large natural resources projects, including
maintaining budgets, schedules, and quality of service
- Supervise, mentor, and provide project technical support to
staff-level biologists and field staff
- Work closely with a project team to develop innovative
approaches to resource assessment that meet client needs and can
withstand agency and public scrutiny
- Take initiative and resolve issues to assure client needs are
met effectively
- Work with Corporate accounting department to review invoices,
expenditures and project audits for projects/tasks
- Work closely with SWCAs resource scientists and environmental
planners, managers and directors in both natural and cultural
resources throughout the company to promote SWCAs business
interests in adherence to its mission, vision, and values
- Implement and administer SWCAs safety procedures and standards
of scientific and professional ethics
- Lead biological technical assessment and survey efforts
including preparing and providing peer review for technical reports
and environmental permits such as biological resource assessments
and constraints analyses, State and federal endangered species act
consultations, CWA Section 404/401 permitting.
- Conduct scientific assessment and statistical
analysesExperience and qualifications for successRequired
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in biology, environmental
science, natural resource management, geology, or other related
field required;
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience performing
environmental, ecological, or natural resources studies, surveys,
or projects in the private or public sector
- A minimum of two (2) years as a natural resources project
manager; including staff and project team supervision.
- Extensive working knowledge of federal and state laws (e.g.,
NEPA, CWA, and ESA) governing natural resource management
- Demonstrated experience with federal agencies such as US Army
Corps of Engineers (USACE) Federal Energy Regulatory Commission
(FERC), Bureau of Land Management (BLM), US Forest Service (USFS),
and/or US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), and other state/local
agenciesPreferred
- A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant natural resources
experience in the public and/or private sector
- At least two (2) years working as an environmental
consultant
- Experience working with renewable energy, oil & gas,
transportation, public utilities, and/or mining clients
- Experience and ability to manage multiple complex projects and
programs, in diverse settings and with changing requirements
- Demonstrated experience working in a face paced work
environment, and a desire to work in a highly collaborative team
atmosphere.

can expect a salary of: - for the Associate Project Manager role -
$63,440.00 to $81,120.00/year; for the Project Manager role -
$70,200.00 to $91,000.00/year. - Actual pay within this range may
depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, client
requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law.
